Rick and Katy Stone started Laetus Pullus Farm started in 2009 when they decided to grow a large garden, purchase laying hens, and grow chickens for meat in order to know where our food was coming from. They believe that by eating off our land, we are eating more nutrient dense food than what is offered at the grocery store. The farm uses organic practices and raise chickens on pasture. Starting out, they raised just enough for their family, but quickly learned that friends and neighbors wanted farm fresh produce and meat too! Now they grow enough food to feed their family, preserve food for the winter, and support an ever growing customers base.

Both Rick and Katy served in the United States Army with nearly 45 years of serve between the two of them. They are proud to be certified as Homegrown by Heroes and certified in the Michigan Agriculture Environmental Assurance Program (MEAP)
